Day 1

Destination: Colombo

Drive: Approximately 1 Hour (31 km)

On arrival in Sri Lanka you will be met and assisted by our Airport Representative, who will direct you to your very own Chauffeur who will transfer you to Colombo, the commercial capital of the country. Once you check in at your hotel relax and recover from any jet lag.If you have spare time your chauffeur will introduce you to the sights and sounds of Colombo.


Day 2

Destination: Ratnapura

Drive: Approximately 3 Hours (101 km)

After breakfast leave for Ratnapura. Commence a sightseeing tour of the city. Ratnapura is the world’s richest treasure house of gems. Rare sparkling precious and semi-precious stones are found in the rich soil that covers the entire district. A visit to this city of gems is a must for any visitor. It is a city set amidst a mix of paddy fields, rubber and tea plantations which give a scenic backdrop to this legendary city of a thousand gems.

Destination: Sinharaja

Drive: Approximately 2 Hours (63 km)

Continue for Sinharaja Forest Reserve, It is the least disturbed and biologically unique lowland rain forest remaining in Sri Lanka. It is a treasure trove of endemic species including trees, insects, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals. Because of the dense vegetation wildlife is not as easily seen as at dry zone national parks as Yala. Bird watching is particularly interesting as it is home to 95% of the endemic birds of Sri Lanka.

Day 3

Destination: Udawalawe

Drive: Approximately 3 hours (130 km)

After breakfast leave for Udawalawe. UDAWALAWE NATIONAL PARK lies south of the central hills in the island’s dry zone. An important eco-tourism destination, the Park consists of dry lowland forest, riverine forest, thorny scrublands and grasslands. One special attraction of the park is the Udawalawe reservoir and the Walawe River which flows through the park. It is most famous for the many elephants that live in the park Besides the elephants it is also home to water buffalo, spotted & barking deer, wild boar, sambar, jackals, mongoose and more. Though the leopard, jungle & fishing cats have been spotted in the park sightings are very rare. This fascinating park is also a great location for bird enthusiasts.

Day 4

Destination: Udawalawe

Drive: Approximately ½ an Hour (25 km)

After breakfast, enjoy a second jeep safari in the Udawalawe National Park. Destination: Yala Drive: Approximately 3 ½ Hours (127 km) Afterward leave for Yala. In the afternoon commence a jeep safari in the Yala National Park by private jeep accompanied by a tracker.

Day 5

Destination: Yala

Drive: N/A

After breakfast get ready for an AM &PM jeep safari in the Yala National Park. Yala National park one of Sri Lanka’s premier eco tourist destinations and is renowned for its variety of wildlife notably its many elephants. It is also home to the spotted deer, sambar, wild buffalo, sloth bear, jackal, mongoose and crocodiles. The peacock is easily the most famous of the birds in this park. Yala has a high concentration of Leopards although seeing these nocturnal carnivores still requires some luck.

Day 6

Destination: Yala

Drive: N/A

After breakfast enjoy another day amongst the wild animals, with an AM and PM jeep safari in the Yala National Park

Day 7

Destination: Nuwara Eliya

Drive: Approximately 4 ½ Hours (192km)

After breakfast leave for the heart of Tea Country, Nuwara Eliya. En route visit Rawana Waterfalls, a sight to behold with a scenic backdrop of mountains and valleys. Check in at your hotel on arrival and in the afternoon, if you have spare timecommence a sightseeing tour of Nuwara Eliya

Day 8

Destination: Horton Plains

Drive: Approximately 1 ½ Hour (30 km)

After an early breakfast at the hotel, leave for Horton plains, the highest plateau in the country. Enjoy a morning hike through one of the country’s most scenic hiking trails.

Drive: Approximately 5 ½ Hour (210 km)


Day 9

Destination : Colombo

Drive : Approximately 8 Hours (305 km)

After breakfast leave for Colombo. Drive through the commercial and city center known as the “Fort”, built by the Portuguese in the 16th century where grand colonial era buildings stand alongside modern office structures. See the vibrant markets and bazaars of Pettah, and the National Museum with its fine collection of lovely antiques and art of Sri Lanka. You could visit a Buddhist temple and a Hindu Kovil to experience the diversity of religion, ethnicity and customs of the people. Alternatively you may indulge in some shopping.

Destination: Airport

Drive: Approximately 1Hour (40km)

Now that you are at the end of your journey with us, after breakfast your chauffeur will comfortably take you to the international airport in time for your departure flight.
